NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED SPECIAL ASSESSMENT ROLL TO PAY THE COSTS OF DEVELOPMENT, DESIGN, ENGINEERING, AND CONSTRUCTION OF THE FURTHER BUILD-OUT OF THE WASTEWATER COLLECTION AND TREATMENT SYSTEMS SERVING POWDER HOUSE PASS COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Supervisors of Powder House Pass Community Improvement District, South Dakota (the “District”), will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. MDT, at the Powder House Pass Community Center, 11283 Powderhouse Trail, Lead, South Dakota, for the purpose of taking public comments on the adoption of a proposed special assessment roll pursuant to Chapter 9-43 of the South Dakota Codified Law (the “Act’), to finance the costs of development, design, engineering, and construction of the further build-out of the District’s wastewater collection and treatment systems (the “Improvements”).
The assessments will be pledged to secure payment of $2,075,000 in special assessment bonds to be issued to finance a portion of the cost of the Improvements. The proposed special assessment on each property is proportional to the special benefit received from the Improvements.
Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors will consider the proposed Assessment Roll, and approve, equalize, amend, or reject the same. Additional information and a copy of the proposed Assessment Roll is available for public inspection at the District office, 11283 Powderhouse Trail, Lead, South Dakota 57754.
At the time and place set for the public hearing, residents, taxpayers and other interested persons will be given the opportunity to express their views, both orally and in writing, on the proposed Assessment Roll. Written comments may also be submitted to the District at its office as shown above.
